I’ve been watching Matt Walsh for a number of years. I think he’s on the money for a lot of political and cultural issues, and I find his dry humor hilarious. From his film reviews, to his daily cancellations, it’s just good content.
The prospect of The Daily Wire delving into the creative space, putting out movies and TV shows is exciting to me. It has the potential to grow to be a contender studio. A conservative studio. In recent years, Angel Studios has been taking on Hollywood (very successfully), and I hope the same for The Daily Wire in the years to come. That being said, they still have a ways to go before they will cement their spot in history as a trustworthy film studio. They have a lot of growing and maturing to do.
Matt Walsh’s first film, What is a Woman?, which took the world by storm in 2022, was spot on. But I think The Daily Wire’s most recent movie, Ladyballers, was a huge miss. It’s writing was subpar. The comedy wasn’t there, the characters were underdeveloped, and the dialogue was atrocious. The casting was not great (aside from Michael Knowles and Brett Cooper), the cinematography left want, and for no apparent reason, they hyper-sexualized it. Like, I appreciate they’re trying to mock the culture, but that’s not how it came across. It felt like a bad reprint of an early 2000’s romcom. I'm looking forward to the day we can say that The Daily Wire is a true force in the creative field.
Anyways…

What a strange show. Haha. I mean, what an odd premise. I get what they were thinking, “Matt Walsh is hilarious with his dry humor, and his daily cancellations are uber popular, so… let’s make a whole show on that idea!”.
I agree! Make a show that tailors to his strengths! And this might just be it… If, in the show, Matt Walsh is acting as an arbitrator of the law, then this show is brilliant. See what the heck arbitration is here.
That’s it. That’s the end of the article, good day.
But seriously, it just makes sense. I had originally written this article sayin that it didn’t make sense because there were no stakes. That was, until I was made aware of a little law called arbitration, in which two opposing parties agree upon a third party ‘the arbitrator’, who examines the evidence, and makes legally binding judgements. According to Deadline, this is the approach The Daily Wire is taking here. The show is set up much like the reality shows: Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown. Where plaintiffs bring their petty cases against defendants, and are ‘judged’ by Walsh. It’s a pretty funny show.
The show would sit in a kind of no man’s land, if not for arbitration. But if this is indeed how they’re ‘enacting justice’, I love it. I think that the show is pretty funny, but I also think pretty much anything Matt Walsh does is pretty funny, so take my view with a grain of salt. The cases are ridiculous, the people bringing them are entertaining, and Matt Walsh’s reactions are classic, and the thought of his rulings being legally binding are incredible.
So if all you’re looking for is some down time to watch people spill their private issues all over the internet, great. You’ll probably enjoy the show. If you don’t appreciate dry humor, you’ll probably hate it, and you’ll also probably never find happiness… A moment of silence these people.
I’m going to try out a new rating system… Let me know in the comments if y’all like it, or if it’s a hard pass.

Alrighty, that’s all I have for you today.
Until next time.
Pax.
😂 this show is kinda funny. Its basically the same as judge Judy but funnier.
You can agree to binding arbitration with an "arbitrator" for disputes (a lay person you give authority to decide). It's a common way to come to a settlement and save court and lawyer costs. That's probably what is going on here.
